Mission

Highlighter.com is an education publishing platform aimed at drastically reducing the cost of textbooks and course material while increasing student success by leveraging powerful and actionable analytics and student data. Highlighter's HTML5 Reader allows educators to publish PDF, ePUB and Microsoft Office documents for free, accessible on any device, with unprecedented engagement by highlighting, annotating, commenting, sharing and saving snippets of text.

Team

Highlighter is the brainchild of Josh Mullineaux, Matt Blancarte and Nate Whitehill, who are previous founders of Unique Blog Designs, a blog and web design firm that has worked thousands of web publishers. In May of 2010, the founders applied to TechStars in hopes that the positive networking environment would increasetheir chances of making Highlighter a success. As luck would have it, they were accepted to the inaugural Seattle TechStars class.
